Many new cars are fitted with alarms, immobilisers and other clever devices to improve vehicle security. They both protect your possessions from opportunist thieves and your car itself from being stolen. But the number of different car alarms and security features on offer, and the corresponding level of protection they give and possable insurance reduction can be baffling for a new buyer. That’s without even considering the huge number of aftermarket units available.
Below are some systems and options that we can install for you to protect your vehicle.
Cobra / Meta Alarm and Immobiliser (CAT 1)
With a Cobra or Meta System alarm and imobiliser installed to your vehicle, this will give you protection over the boot, bonnet, doors, internal and a dual circuit immobiliser. If you vehicle has centrol locking then these systems can be configures to control the locks also. These systems are grenrally installed to older vehicles without a factory fitted immobiliser system.
If your vehicle doesn’t have any central locking, we can install this as well as your alarm system. Additional sensors can be added to your system including level referance, tamper loop, glass smash, hyperfrequency, ultrasonic, magnet switches and tracker notification interface.
Cobra / Meta Alarm systrem (CAT 2-1)
A Category 2 – 1 system will bring your vehicles factory immobiliser system, a factory CAT 2 immobiliser, to a full CAT alarm and immobiliser system.
These system can be controled by two diffrent methods, canbus or remote control. Most moden vehicles have a remote control system which is integrated into the vehicles man computer. We can use the canbus system in the vehicle to control the added alarm system. This means that you only have the factory remote controls to worry about. These can be added to most moden vehicle where there is no factory alarm system.
Driver cards can be added to the Cobra system which will activate the alarm if the vehicle is unlocked without the driver card present. Additional sensors can be added to your system including level referance, tamper loop, glass smash, hyperfrequency, ultrasonic, magnet switches and tracker notification interface.
Cobra Dual Circuit Immobiliser A8510 (CAT 2)
This system is the minimum upgrade for your vehicle security. This is a hardwired dual circuit imobilizer which is deactived via a simple touch key which the receptical is mounted neatly on the dash.
Sterling / Toad Transponder (CAT 2)
A transponder system like the Sterling / Toad system has a dual circuit immobiliser system and is deactivated by a transponder keyring attached to your car keys. Depending on the vehicle, once the drivers door has been opened the system will start to look for the transponder key. This means that there is very little interaction between the driver and the immobiliser system with is operation.
This system can be used on moden vehicles with keykless entry where the vehicle keys can be cloned.
